I love being an Acupuncturist.

I am constantly impressed by how Acupuncture and Plant Medicine change people's lives, improving day-to-day quality of life and overall contentment. When someone isn't sleeping, or has constant anxiety, or terrible digestion, or pain, or fear, or mood swings .... life becomes very difficult indeed, and every aspect is affected - relationships, work, plans for the future etc. Symptoms are reduced or eradicated through treating the underlying causes, so the patient finally feels like themself again, as they are restored to fully functioning health, and life can be enjoyed once more.

I trained in New York and Beijing, graduating with honors from Pacific College of Health & Science in NY, with a Master of Science Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture & Plant Medicine). The four-year Masters program consists of 3,465 hours and 188 units of didactic and clinical training, half of which is Western Medicine including anatomy and physiology, pathology, gynecology, obstetrics, dermatology, internal medicine, psychology, and pharmacology.

I took Advanced Acupuncture at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences in Beijing, which is a World Health Organization Collaborating Center of Traditional Medicine, working with some of China's most revered and famous Doctors including Dr Zhongchao Wu, Dr Jinsheng Yang, and Dr Hongcai Wang. Living in Beijing and participating first hand in the fast-paced treatment of a wide variety of conditions at a busy hospital was a life-changing experience, and heavily influenced my own practice back in Brooklyn.
